Arrive at the resort by 01:00 PM for lunch and a comprehensive briefing on Kuno’s rewilding project. Board your 4x4 open gypsy at 03:30 PM for a grassland safari drive focused on cheetah movement and prey base density. Return for dinner and night sky observation.
Early morning 06:00 AM safari through the dense Kardhai and Salai forest zones tracking leopards, striped hyenas, and sloth bears, with a bush breakfast stop. Return to the lodge for lunch and rest. Depart at 03:30 PM for the second safari drive along deep valley routes and waterholes. Conclude the day with dinner and a wildlife discussion.

Safari Guidelines & Booking
Every visitor must carry the original physical government photo ID (Aadhaar Card, Passport, Voter ID, or Driving License) that was used during booking. Digital copies, screenshots, or missing original IDs will lead to strictly denied entry as per forest department rules.
As per Madhya Pradesh Forest Department regulations, confirmed safari permits and vehicle bookings are 100% non-refundable, non-transferable, and non-adjustable under any circumstances once issued.
Park entry permits for prime tracking zones are limited per shift. It is strongly recommended to book at least 30 to 45 days in advance, especially for weekends, holidays, and the peak winter months.
Cheetah Tracking & Safari Experience
Kuno National Park is open from October to June. Early morning (sunrise) and late afternoon drives offer the highest sighting probabilities, as cheetahs and other predators are most active during cooler hours.
A single 4x4 open safari vehicle accommodates a maximum of 6 adults plus 1 child (below 5 years), accompanied by 1 authorized forest naturalist and 1 registered driver.
Tiktoli & Ahera Gates is the primary entrance for accessing core savanna tracks and active cheetah release zones. Peepalwadi gate also connect to prime forest trails, depending on your resort location and seasonal zone allocations.

Yes, safaris follow strict safety protocols. However, trails consist of bumpy, unpaved forest terrain. Senior citizens with severe back issues and families with toddlers should prepare for a rugged 3.5 to 4-hour open Gypsy drive.
Drones are strictly illegal inside all national parks. DSLR and mirrorless cameras are permitted; applicable forest camera entry fees must be settled directly at the gate as per department rules.
Travel & Connectivity (How to Reach)
The nearest commercial airport is Gwalior Airport (GWL), approximately 120–150 km away (around a 2.5 to 4-hour drive). For broader flight connectivity, Jaipur International Airport (JAI) is about 280–300 km away (a 5 to 6-hour drive). Private cabs and road transfers are easily accessible from both hubs.
The closest major railway junction is Gwalior Junction (GWL), which is well connected to all major Indian cities. Another nearby option is Shivpuri Railway Station (around 55–60 km away), and Sawai Madhopur Junction is around 130–140 km from the western side of the park.
